Too Traumatised to Cry?

As I have discussed many times before, when a physical symptom manifests in our body it is the result of emotional reactions and beliefs that we are running in our subconscious which our ego is stopping us from dealing with.


This keeps you trapped in a vicious cycle until the physical symptoms exacerbate and become dangerous and leads to life threatening conditions.


Today, I ask you to take a moment to

  • stop what ever else you are doing,

  • place your left hand on the area which is between your ribs and waist and

  • take a couple of deep breaths and connect in with your body.

Now slowly read each of the following bullet points and notice how it feels.


Do any of them resonate with you? If so, make a note of them.


· You feel controlled and held back by influential or dominant person such as a parent.

· You have a fear of the unknown and of the future.

· You don’t let people into your life.

· You are stuck in a continuous cycle of unresolved trauma.

· You overcompensate by having very strong boundaries.

· You have a fear of never having enough money, love affection or protection.

· You often felt like an outcast and where not allowed to have fun like the rest of the world

· You seek permission to be successful in your own journey.

· Feeling abuse, stress fear and manipulated or lack of control is normal for you.


Now score each one you have noted down with 0= no impact, 10 = Full impact


How did you do? ( At one time I would have scored a 10 for each one)


Now let me ask you, do you have or have you had IBS, digestive issues, stomach problems, gastric/ acid reflux?


If so, then these are the physical symptoms flagging up the abandonment, rejection, unexpressed rage, anger and frustration and everything else that you have felt as a child and have carried with you all the way to this point.


When these issues are not addressed, they can lead to your body opening up to more dis-ease than the state you are already in, with the possibility of stomach ulcers, colon cancer.


So, what can you do about it? That is up to you.


· You can continue as you are in a blissful state of ignorance hoping it might go away.


· You can take over the counter remedies to ease the pain that is there?


· You can seek alternative or complementary therapy to support you to cope with the pain management.


· You can choose to take control of your body and identify where and when the first trigger was created in your childhood, learn the belief(s) that was created (such as it is not safe to speak, cry or express your feelings) and then


transform those beliefs into valid reasoning and understanding, to transform your emotions, mindset and just notice the changes to your physical symptoms, some of which you might not have been aware of on a conscious level.
