The Healing Power of Nature

The healing power of nature has an incredible ability to heal and rejuvenate us, both physically and mentally.

Here are a few ways nature works its magic:

Spending time in natural environments can lower stress levels. The sights, sounds, and smells of nature can have a calming effect on our minds.

Find your calm and reflect on your truth

Just think of seeing a garden full of shades and tones of colour, different shapes and textures filling your senses with joy and peace. The vibration of each colour may connect with your emotions and can aid in improving and balancing your mind body and soul.

Being in nature can boost your mood and increase feelings of happiness.

Sunlight exposure helps in the production of serotonin, a hormone that contributes to well-being.

Activities like hiking, walking, or gardening can improve physical health by increasing physical activity, which is beneficial for cardiovascular health and overall fitness.

Nature can help improve focus and mental clarity. The natural environment provides a break from the constant stimuli of urban life, allowing our brains to rest and recharge.

Put down your devices and notice what is around you.

I find watching the ebb and flow of the tide calming giving me time and space to think more clearly.

tale a moment to sit and observe in detail all that is around you.

Notice a fluttering butterfly or buzzing bee busy at work pollinating the flowers. And for those few seconds you have not thought about your problems, your heart rate has started to regulate, and your shoulders have dropped.

Being in nature encourages us to focus and gives a sense of connection to the world around us. This can lead to a greater appreciation for life and a sense of peace.

Nature can be experienced indoors too.

Each of us are part of nature and by sitting in the company of a loved one, the touch of a hand, a smile or something more intimate can bring us a sense of wellbeing too.

Even on a stormy day I might connect through the windows and watch the clouds rushing by, the sway of the branches and muse at a seagull trying to take flight.

There are no hard and fast rules to guide you to what YOU SHOULD DO.

Let yourself just go with your heart’s desire, whatever feels right for you, is right for you in that moment.

Nature is driven by energy, think solar power wind power, tidal power. You might not see the power, but you can see and feel the effects it brings to us.  And this is very much like how I work with you using elements of nature and your openness to receive the benefits to heal your mind body and spirit of the emotional and mental stresses and strains you are enduring.

Water Power at Silverdale Glen in the Isle of Man
One of my favourite spots at Silverdale Glen

As a child growing up on a nursery I wondered at the seasons that plants went through every year and the magic of mother nature to allow a daffodil to flower at the same time each year to the same height and colour.

No apps or tech here just the harmonious dance of mother nature.
