How to Celebrate Your Life Your Way

Celebrating you and your life in a way that feels authentic to you can be incredibly fulfilling.


When we talk about celebrating we can think of gatherings of family and friends, popping corks, cakes and speeches.


However, today I am focusing in on the smaller ways of you being you, in a way that aligns with your inner desires and dreams.

Celebrating My Life My Way


Reflecting on my earlier years, I was told where to be, what to say, what to do and how to do it. And also, don't speak unless you are spoken to, little girls or seen and not heard. I could go on.


However, much of this was not aligned with my true desires.

I did not feel i was able to express my inner feelings freely.


As a result, I kept my emotions bottled up, suppressing any joy and happiness I might have experienced if I had been able to share them.


Fast forward to recent times and through the last 10 years, I have felt confident enough to stand up and speak my truth, express my feelings and celebrate my accomplishments.


  • To be who I want to be, not who i was told to be.

  • To dress in what makes me comfortable and reflects who I am not ill fitting uncomfortable clothes

  • To do, pursue and engage in activities that bring me joy, instead of feeling drained and bored.

  • To spend time with those who bring me joy and lift my spirits rather than those who sap my energy.

  • To celebrate my wins and achievements that might have been washed over or dismissed in the past

Here are some ideas to help you celebrate your life your way:


  1. Reflect on Achievements: Take time to acknowledge and celebrate your accomplishments, both big and small. Reflecting on your journey can give you a sense of pride and motivation.


  2. Pursue Passions: Engage in activities that bring you joy and fulfilment. Whether it's a hobby, a creative project, or a new skill, doing what you love can be a great way to celebrate your life.


  3. Spend Time with Loved Ones: Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you. Celebrate your life by creating meaningful memories with friends and family.


  4. Practice Self-Care: Prioritize your well-being by taking care of your physical, emotional, and mental health. Treat yourself to activities that help you relax and recharge.


  5. Give Back: Contributing to your community or helping others can be a rewarding way to celebrate your life. Volunteering or supporting a cause you care about can give you a sense of purpose.


  6. Travel and Explore: If possible, explore new places and cultures. Traveling can provide new perspectives and experiences that enrich your life.


  7. Set Goals: Celebrate your life by setting and working towards new goals. Having a sense of direction and purpose can be incredibly fulfilling.


  8. Celebrate Daily: Find joy in the small moments of everyday life. Celebrate the little things that make you happy and grateful.


Remember, celebrating your life is a personal journey, and there's no right or wrong way to do it.


It's all about what makes you feel happy and fulfilled.
